Ministry Update: July 2017

Dear Friends,

I am grateful to be able to say that we are 1/8th of the way to meeting our $8000 GoFundMe Campaign. Taken together with the funds we have already received, this means my salary is 88.6% percent funded! God is so good. We moved forward in this work not knowing if this was his plan, and he has provided abundantly.

Your support has provided for my work at Midtown Partners, were I have had the privilege of seeing 17 clients over the past month. You have also provided for my preparations to return to work at The Redeemer’s School this August, were I will continue to meet with clients from last year and add new services to encourage social skills and end bullying.

I am also excited to announce that The Net is in meetings to expand services to a new site, in partnership with two other Mississippi non-profits. If all goes to plan, I will be assisting in getting this new location off the ground.

If you would, please pray:

Praise For Our Family: A huge thank you to those who have been praying for us. July unexpectedly provided us with far more rest than June did. We have enjoyed our baby girl, who is learning to crawl AND CRUISE at seven months. I’m just saying: so many feelings, y’all. We have also celebrated our brother’s (Dave’s brother) engagement.

For clients: please continue to pray for the people we are serving. Their lives are stranger than fiction, and they are stronger than storybook heroes. They are also more broken. Please pray for the Gospel to heal them.

For plans and partners: please continue to pray for our interns, who have also been able to take a little time. Pray that God would equip them with everything they need for their work, and that he would use their rest to strengthen them. Also, please pray for our possible expansion. We have a meeting this afternoon in which we will be asked to defend our budget and clarify or service plan. Please pray for this as well.

Thank you for partnering with us to provide these services to Jacksonians with limited resources. Your generosity with your time, compassion, and resources is deeply appreciated. We are so grateful to be witness to the church doing her work.

Grace and Peace,

Erin
